Free Entry To 2018 Ag Show For Kids & Seniors
All seniors and children will have free entry for all three days of this year’s Ag Show, the organisers announced, with the popular event set to take place at the Botanical Gardens from April 19 to April 21.
A spokesperson said, “AG Show Ltd. is pleased to announce through the very generous sponsorship of AXIS Capital and HSBC, all seniors and children will have free entry to this year’s Exhibition for all three days of this much anticipated Spring show.
“If you recall at last year’s Exhibition our Lead Sponsor, AXIS Capital, sponsored free admission for all seniors and children on the Friday of the Exhibition.”
On behalf of AXIS Capital Chief Operations Officer Richard Strachan said, “We are honoured to be a long-standing partner of the Bermuda Ag Show and to once again serve as the event’s lead sponsor.
“Together in partnership with HSBC, we are pleased to offer children and seniors the opportunity to attend all three days of the Ag Show for free.

Inmates Construct Items For Use At Ag Show
The Ministry of National Security advised that the Department of Corrections has once again partnered with the Ag Show Ltd. to provide assistance to the Annual Agriculture Show.
For the third year in a row, and under the supervision of Corrections’ staff, around six inmates have constructed various items for use at the Ag Show.
Recently, Antwon Albuoy, Exhibition Director donated a variety of tools to Westgate Correctional Facility for its vocational workshop programme.
Minister of National Security Wayne Caines thanked Mr. Albuoy for the donation saying, “The Department of Corrections is pleased to accept this kind donation which has come about as a result of a positive private/public partnership.
“We are pleased that the Department of Corrections can do its small part in ensuring that the 2018 Ag Show is a success.”

Green Family Donate $15,000 To 2016 Ag Show
The Green Family will be donating $15,000 towards next year’s Bermuda Agricultural Show, saying that “Bermuda would not be the same without the Ag Show” and they are “very pleased to be able to sponsor this event.”
The sponsorship will aid in financing the show, which has been restructured following its cancellation this year.
The AG Show Ltd, a registered charity, was established this past February, and its mandate is to ensure there is an operational framework to oversee volunteers and issues relating to planning, strategy, budgeting and financing.
AG Show Ltd will rely on sponsorships, such as the one made by the Green Family, as well as donations, ticket sales, vendor permit fees and volunteer contributions to fund the show. AG Show Ltd will not receive funding from the government.

Andrew Green, on behalf of the Green Family, says: “The Ag Show has been an institution in Bermuda for generations and almost all Bermudians have fond memories of it.
“It offers an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to get together, share stories and experiences, and participate in friendly competition.
“Bermuda would not be the same without the Ag Show, and we are very pleased to be able to sponsor this event. We look forward to the show’s return in 2016.”
Antwan Albuoy, President of the Executive Committee of AG Show Ltd, says: “The Ag Show welcomes as many as 25,000 attendees over three days and features up to 4,000 exhibitors.
“Participation in the event includes a large portion of the Island’s population, from seniors who have been attending it since the show’s early days, to school children and toddlers who get an introduction to things they might not see in their everyday lives.-
Mr Albuoy added, “This is an important event that showcases Bermuda’s history and culture and it is with the assistance of generous sponsors like the Green Family that we will be able to carry on this tradition. Bank Of Butterfield Donates To 2016 Ag Show
The AG Show Ltd announced that theBank of Butterfield has pledged its financial support to the upcoming 2016 Bermuda Agricultural Show, to take place at the Botanical Gardens from April 14 – 16, 2016.
A spokesperson said, “The AG Show Ltd – registered charity number 968 was established in Bermuda last year as a not for profit company limited by guarantee. This year’s show is being produced through a public–private initiative formalised through memorandum of Understanding between the AG Show Ltd and the Government of Bermuda.
“The much needed financial support will assist with offsetting the cost of hosting this year’s show. Established last February the AG Show Ltd and its committee members along with the Government of Bermuda have been hard at work with the logistical planning and promotion of the show.”

The wait is Over! The Bermuda Agricultural Show 2016 Catalogue is now Available for Download
The AG Show Ltd. is excited to announce that the 2016 Bermuda Agricultural Show Catalogue is now available. This year’s theme “Bermuda Homegrown” aims to bring the show back to its original roots. The catalogue provides an all-inclusive reference guide for all the divisions and sections that the public can enter. It features 13 different divisions and more than 1,000 different types of entries.
The 2016 catalogue also includes entry forms for the poultry, rabbits and cavies and general entry forms.
